Our company founded as Takagi Mfg. Co., Ltd., in 1955, which was later changed to Takagi Seiko Co., Ltd., has been devoting our energies to production and sale of the instruments/devices for ophthalmology.
    In the year 2005, we will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the foundation of our company and 15th anniversary as Takagi Seiko Co., Ltd., thanks to your guidance and encouragement for which we deeply appreciate.
    At present, Takagi-brand products are widely used not only in Japan but also in more than 50 countries around the world, and are well received and highly trusted. With the concept of "global standards", now mainstream in the manufacturing of products, we obtained "ISO 9001" to be an international standard of the quality system in March, 1998 and "EN 46001" to be a European quality system in August of the same year as proof of the quality of Takagi-brand products which meet your expectations.
    Additionally, in March 2004 we obtained "ISO 13485 (2003)" to be an international standard of the Quality Management Systems of the medical devices. Thus, we will make further efforts to improve quality under the slogan "Aiming at new levels in quality".
    The 21st century is described as an "aging society" or as an "information-oriented society". Health care is an indispensable element in order for us to form an ever improving qualitative and livable society. Particularly, eye care is becoming more and more important in such an aging society. We, as an eye care company, will continue its spirit of inquiry with further research and contributions to society.
